The patches made the game a lot better. Still, too little too late for most consumers I would say, but I'll change this review to recommended.

-Game is pixelated on anything below 1080P, even when using windowed mode with the lower resolutions. This is still not fixed despite the patch claiming resolution scaling is fixed. Which I would say is definitely what is going on here.
-To add insult to injury, the 1080P doesn't even look better than it does on PS4.
-Steam overlay also doesn't work correctly in 720P windowed, the overlay becomes miniscule. It's as if 720P windowed acts as fullscreen causing the overlay to scale down in size.
-The FPS counter that you can enable in-game goes off-screen on anything but 720P
-Text is misaligned on 1080P. Victory screen text is further to the right than it should be. Text in player matches falls out of the intended chat box.
-The font of the chat messages is also really hard to read and completely different from the console versions.
-Fullscreen windowed does not work well if you have a 2nd monitor, if you try to alt-tab to other windows those windows will focus on the 2nd monitor instead. In my case it's a drawing tablet, which is obviously turned off if I am playing a game.
-Cancel/Confirm buttons are bound to whatever you set C/D to...making for some awkward placements depending on how you have your buttons set up and which type of controller you use. This change to button config is unneeded.
-A small nitpick: Avatars reset to the default position after every match in a player room. This basically makes it so people are always bunched up and you can't even quickly see who's in the room with you. It just looks weird.

One pro of this port is that the game comes with all DLC: Colours, voice packs and characters are all included. Load times are also blazingly fast as expected.
The netcode is the same as the console version so don't expect any improvements there.

Awaiting some more patches, they are working on it which is nice at least.

I truly hate ASW for what they've done to not only my favourite franchise, but what they're encouraging in the industry by forcing away choice.
And the ignorant, defensive fanboys are NOT helping the problem by encouraging this anti-consumer bull.

ASW are the most arrogant & disrespectful devs in fighting games. They have tech, sure, that's evident by how they've revolutionized cel-shaded gaming with the new Guilty Gear, but they're so lazy and have so much contempt for their western fans that they're screwing over hundreds of people who put in years of hard work for them, spitting in the faces of Xbox users who gave them so much money, then throwing a fit when anyone criticizes them for it.
Sad thing is, I used to be a tremendous BlazBlue fangirl. But I will never finish the series because Chronophantasma is more of a visual novel, Centralfiction has no English dub anymore, and Japanese voice acting is annoying, especially in a game that sells itself as a FIGHTING GAME, then has you sit through hours of talking just to get to ONE fight sequence.
I also won't finish Xrd for partly the same reason - Japanese voice "acting" is nothing but hyperactive shrieking girls and men with throat cancer.

Got banned on the forums for criticizing the ports. Now the developer is claiming I'm harassing reviewers?

I'm definitely not recommending this game to anyone as well, given it's major porting issues and how the dev reacted to constructive criticism.

Same netcode as always, just feels more stable on PC but that's about it.

what about the netcode though

Balance changes, reduced hitstop, new moves for all characters, a new mechanic called Active Flow and a new Overdrive only super called Exceed Accel. That's on top of the new characters.

Does the game have new gameplay features over Chronophantasma though? Whats differnet?

Do what you want if it makes you feel better.

Anyway, still waiting on the patch to fix the resolution issues, if there's ever gonna be one that is. Patch 1.02 didn't really do much of anything.

I have a ps4 and own gg and bb there, check my sfv hours, kof13 etc etc. Yea i find it insulting when you say i must be new to fighting games... i dunno do new people understand frame traps and frame data, oki and hard knockdowns, rushdown, projectile zoning, roman cancels, fadc, burst... charge moves and negative edge... gtfo with yer bs.

Lol, reading comprehension insults. Its still a 2.5d fighter not a 2d one. I guess tekken is 2d fighter until someone sidesteps then its a 3d one then back to 2d ... i get that its in the vein of a 2d fighter but its not correct to call it such as its not a 2d fighter.
