Do you want to live in the far future?

Well, too bad, because until then we all will be dead, maybe humanity as a whole too.

BUT

You can live, feel and see the (maybe) glorious future of mankind in this game.
I'm so glad I didn't listen to the overwhelming bad reviews here on steam, because this game is not simplified.
Oh no! As one of the few other positive reviews said it, it's just masterly streamlined! The UI is a pleasure to "work" with.
I don't want to go much into the game mechanics, because the other reviews have done it way more better than I could.
It's just really important for me to point out that this game is in no way a cash grab or simplified hollow shell of its predecessors. You can see and feel the love in every detail this game has to offer.
Regarding the combat, YES on the LOWEST difficulty you can steam through the enemies, but as soon as you choose just the next higher difficulty it gets noticeably harder and more challenging. The combat system has also its depths, you can choose to use your supers or fulfill side missions that require a certain amount of this abilities from you, do you keep them to yourself or are you confident enough to get the resources for them? All ships are upgradable and the rock paper scissors combat demands attention and micro management.

Last but not least, I must mention the atmosphere this game has to offer, the interactions (or better the monologues) of the npcs or very entertaining. The graphics are top notch in every regard, the futuristic buildings are incredibly detailed and it's just fun to zoom in max and eavesdrop on the citizens their comments. I didn't like the fact that in Anno 2070 most buildings were not easy to distinguish, but here every building is a marvel to look at and... and... I just really really like this Anno. 11/10

I haven't really experienced any downsides, I also don't want to claim this is a full fledged review of this game. I just want to make a point, to give this game a chance. It didn't deserve the flak it got at release.

I waited and played, waited and played further. But there was no deeper meaning. This story is laughably shallow. And this game is surely not more worth than 5 /euro/dollar etc. I paid to much for it. This game is not more than a ambitious high school project.

It's my most secret dream come true in instance of a text based rpg. It's worth every penny and cent :-)
I love it!!!

Solely for the User-Interface I always come back to this diamond. Yes the battle system is more than bad, but this athmospheric journey into the depths of space can nowhere look as good as in Endless Space.

I love it. Easy as that. :-)
