Waste Walkers is probably one of the best RPGMaker games I have ever played due to its great atmosphere and complex game mechanics. In its core, it still remains a RPGMaker game though, which means menus have the well known standard layout and controls are both lacking as well as non-customizable.

Yet at the same time I was entertained quite well for several dozen hours.

I do recommend this to all RPGMaker fans heartily, the general public might find it slightly too bothersome though, especially due to the horridly high combat difficulty. You're not supposed to fight much in the first place though, it's a survival game after all.

All things considered, it's worth a look.
