An interactive painting

Unleaving describes itself modestly as "Limbo, with a splash of color" and that is quite an apt way of thinking of this gem. Throughout this ~3 hour experience, you will be delighted by its art, music, and clever gameplay.
Please, immerse yourself...

Cinematic platformers are a rarity, and one such as this one is completely unique even among its tiny niche. Along the game while traveling forward, you'll be faced with simple platforming challenges and quite a bit more not-so-simple puzzles. You will feel like a genius for solving them, but they're never so difficult to make you completely stuck. There is also a hint system in place in case you need a nudge in the right direction. Controls are snappy, animations are fluid, challenges are greatly varied.

The world around you moves, as if always in motion. Everything is hand painted, and it shows: it's one of the most beautiful games in recent memory.

Pros:
  • Gorgeous, looks and sounds amazing
  • Tight controls
  • Mind bending puzzles
  • Emotional journey
  • Priced appropriately
Cons:
  • Timing-based puzzles are quite tight on execution
