Came from FSX and never looking back, x-plane is the goto sim for me for the forseeable future. what brought me in initally was the amazing looking gauges in the 3d cockpits. However the best thing about x-plane is its awesome community built around it. X-plane has many excellent community members developing very good utilities and free scenery for use. it is also very easy to get an excellent looking sim with real terra haze, ortho4xp. the only extra expense will be aircraft to buy, and there are quite a few good choices for GA and airliners. you can even multicrew with smartcopilot plugin, very very cool and highly recommend xplane 10.
