Apparently the Darkest Dungeon wasn’t the darkest after all, because they’ve gone and found another, darker one up a mountain – yep, Darkest Dungeon 2 is on the way. Red Hook Studios aren’t ready to give any dates, but they did share a few vague thoughts on the sequel with RPS fan-site PC Gamer. A familiar roster of heroes are lined up to go up some mountains, possibly filled with madness, in search of more cursed loot to hoard, and yet another cosmic evil to vanquish. Expect the return of the deliciously over-the-top narrator – hear him boom in the teaser below.

Woaw it seems pretty reckless to try a sequel on DD :O
Trying to keep the things like the incredible art.. but still evolving to something new !

I can't wait to see what they are planning ! :D

I have to admit i'm obviously a bit nervous to be disappointed, but they are skillful and passionate !

C'mon ! Make me dream ! <3

Excited for this. Hopefully there'd be some new game mechanics introduced to make this one stand out from the first and not feel like a DLC. Perhaps cold will come into play here, like managing the adventurers' exposure to it and making sure they don't get hypothermia or frostbite. Maybe the torch will now be not only the source of light, but also the source of heat. :)

@ein omg ikr? Imagine having to work in a button pushing factory eight hours a day except each day the button is in a different factory and I need a group of pushing experts to help me push it just right just to get the money to build the store to buy the strawberry seeds and then having to go out and do more pushing to hire the guy to sell them to me and then needing to get even more money to buy the seeds with and then having to buy the land to plant the seeds and getting the money to build the tools to plow the fields and then needing even more money to build a storehouse to put the strawberries in before you ever get to use them.

Vomit sandwiches are preferable at that point. ;)

Damn Tweed I think this is the first thing you've said that I dislike

I mean, I fucking eat vomit sandwiches for lunch everyday and even I think strawberries are disgusting.

Well, the aesthetic is pleasing, the narrator is amazing, the light level and stress mechanics are cool, and who doesn't like loot?
Tweed Feb 19, 2019 @ 8:54pm
I don't get how people enjoy this game when it's so damn repetitive. I mean, I fucking play Warframe and I find this game repetitive.

Hopefully the devs don't give this game the *cold shoulder.*
