This game is pure garbage. Graphics are horrible, gameplay is super-linear, and there's no real enjoyability in playing it. I pre-ordered it, and it is the last game I will pre-order.

Ok, this is a hack and slash/platform/puzzle game. It doesn't try to be everything to everyone, and it's not a clone of any other game.
What I love most about this game is the art direction. I absolutely LOVE the imagery in this game! I keep coming back to it every six months or so to play through it again and am still astounded by the small details in every environment. Skulls on the walls, some with fire in their eyes, designs on the floors and ceilings, the enemies are just amazing looking, and it's just challenging enough to keep you interested. My only real gripe is the camera in this game, but I have a problem with that in every hack and slash type game.
I have been in awe of the design of this game since I first picked it up; too bad it was completely lost in the sequel, which I haven't finished because it's just too boring. I mean, what other game do you get to ride a horse with flaming hooves?? Sure this game shares some mechanics with God of War, and the original Devil May Cry's, but I don't see the problem... because those games were phenomenal. Underappreciated? Yeah, this game was very, very underappreciated.
