Though your towers are a major part of your success in the game, the shooter aspect of this really makes it a superior RTT game in my opinion. Disagree if you like. Sure, many "RTT" place you at the command of many mobile units, but in this game, there are a wide range of strategic options for setting up your map, and also a very challenging tactical component.

I sunk many hours into story mode, which was awesome with really cool bosses. Now I'm moving into the survival mode, which offers a whole other dynamic. Not to mention the DLC are amazing and add completely new types of challenges above the original story mode.

I buy many games and try them and even keep many of them around, but only a few pass the test of time. And I keep coming back to this one.

Play with a gamepad for christ sake. Don't we a whiny ***** when you lose, instead examine your tower setup and attack plan and try again. Brutal mode is the only way to play. Split screen CO-OP is awesome as well. Divide and conquer... shoot, move, communicate.
