Cities Skylines has been the go to game for city building for several years. I myself was rather late to the party, only having played Sim City previously. What I discovered when I finally opened this game was a clean slate for almost unlimited creativity. The base game includes far enough to keep you entertained for hours with most of the Downloadable Content well worth the money it costs if you get hooked. It also comes with a Steam Workshop cram packed with additional maps, vehicles, buildings and mods.
