This is a very good and overall interesting game set in the medieval times where you can climb your way up from a lowly count with but one to three hundred men and in a generation or three you're sons sons are ruling the roman empire. However, the base game is 40 dollars which seems fair for such a good game, but you'll get pretty bored quickly with just the base game. the game requires 3-6 DLC to feel like a fully fleshed out game, since many DLC's include features that should have been in the base game.
I can understand making expensive DLC's to make a game with years of development profitable, but I dont really like how you have to pay quite a bit more for features that should've already been included in free updates.
But above all of this the game is pretty good, if you don't mind spending a good bit more
I recommend waiting for a steam sale before buying the game with its DLC
