A game of open, unguided, freestyle Viking-ing, with lots to discover, an emphasis on learning by doing, and a building system that actually pays attention to structural integrity (but not in a way that requires an engineering degree or anything like that). Despite the co-op support, I find this game plays extremely well solo. I give it props as well for its choice of aesthetic - low-poly models and chunky, almost PS1-like textures, but with all the fancy lighting and shading that a modern engine provides, which grants the game such beautiful vistas that I often forget what resolution things are at to begin with.

Basically, if you're the type that loves to get lost in a world? Or get slaughtered by a lightning-shooting deer god? This is your game.
