I got this game just before their latest realm update and got to experience the before and after. Overall I really like this game and in comparison to all the sandbox survival games I've played it's currently my all time favourite. The crafting and progression (especially the reworked version) hits the spot for me - just the right of amount of material grind for the base of your dreams AND you can build pretty much anywhere. The story is pretty good and with the latest realm updates I felt the way the story plays out having you run quests in their emperic realms and gate ways, introducing the concept of the "untamed" worlds as the procedurally generated realm instances that you and other players can explore together, "meta"-phorically works for me. The game reminded me of The Secret World MMO (probably because of the portals and occult stuff) and Boundless with alot of shine. They hit on the steam-punkish aesthetic for me and the building look really good and not so cookie cutter. Did I mention you can build ANYWHERE. I also like the customisable difficulty experience. I'm a builder by nature but actually find that level just challenging enough to make it not feel like a sandbox (without the survival part). The worlds feel authentic, beautiful, and I like that there's the solo game of building your bases and can switch it up later with other Realmwalkers. I definitely do recommend for fans of games Like Conan:Exiles, Ark:Survival Evolved, Boundless, and 7 days to Die.

Just to start off I like sandbox games and have enjoyed and played the likes of Ark: Survival Evolved and Conan:Exiles. I have played and ran my own private servers as well. So want to point out that for a game in "pre-release" this games ticks all my likes for this genre better than many sandboxes at release. And on the controversy of this being a rip-off of Pokemon, if anything other than the concept of living in a world where hunting cute pocket minions is life this game expands on the concept and IMO successfully adds the survival layer to the game. I'll even go further and say that this game does a better job of fleshing out the life as a Pokemon Master than any other Pokemon game I've played. 10/10 recommend!!!

It's the epitome of good RPG. You only need to see who plays this title for more than 60 hours and still want to keep playing. I just want to keep getting good.

Satisfying notch-up differences to Minecraft for people who want casual open world game play. The use of planets are visually awesome. Community, rewards, crafting, exploration are all brilliantly rewarded. Definite recommend for people who want light gameplay with optional but well rewarded challenges.
