As the name implies, teamwork is what makes TF2 work.

But when you make a game "free-to-play", you destroy most incentives for new and old players alike, which results in servers full of idiots who don't care to learn or adapt.

This was once a pinnacle of the FPS genre, with a history unrivalled by none, but now it's a sad joke that will unfortunately limp along far longer than it deserves in its current state.

I've held on long enough, hoping for the devs to figure out something that would make playing TF2 less of a painful slog, but it's time to admit that I'm done with this game.

I share your feeling of hopelessness when confronted with newbie teammates, but I always tell myself pub playing should not be taken too seriously anyway, so not only do I endure it, I make the most of it! It's actually quite fun when you focus on the gameplay tidbits rather than on winning the game, and gameplay is a field TF2 excels in. And after all, what's the point in fussing over a pub game? :special:
