Dwarven Realms has a(n extremely) simplistic- to the point of absolute elegance that is nearly perfect in its execution!- game play loop. This loop consists of going into leveled combat instances (Ruptures), killing X amount of mobs for resources and "Time Essences" (hint: 40 TE are needed in the first set of Ruptures for this) to unlock a "Rupture Lord Arena"- which is just a boss fight (which, conveniently enough, will block itself off from the rest of the swarm when you get into it properly). Upon defeat, the boss drops a chest which will, among other loot, always contain a key. Use this key to learn equipment "recipes" that just keep on getting better. So... Simple! But utterly satisfying.

There's crafting, and you get to "build" up your "fort". There are also guilds- called fellowships- and they will give you a persistent, fellowship-wide chat while playing. There are also guild buffs, so the system is somewhat reminiscent of Dungeons and Dragons Online, but also done in a unique manner.

Finally, the game has its own Discord server (not uncommon these days). The population is pleasant, and one of the Devs even DMed me to welcome me! He was open to talking for a bit, and made me feel like a part of the community. All in all, I completely and wholly recommend this game!
