Worth buying on sale! But not for the full price...

I wish, I had picked this game up earlier, it's amazing! Customizing you're own ninja, unlocking new equipment and moves, then running around a central hub, creates a MMO vibe. The combat and gameplay itself is really good and not just put together like other 'anime' fighting games.

The game to me, is not perfect, but is a prototype for something much bigger. Matchmaking for beginners is non existent and beginners are forced to play with more experienced players. Also que times can take a while in quickplay. This could be fixed, by the addition of crossplay in the future.

If you're a Naruto fan and skipped on this due to whatever reason, pick it up while its on sale, you won't be disappointed. Also get the deluxe edition, it's worth paying the little bit extra. Hopefully for the 2nd anniversary, crossplay is added.

Edit: After putting 30+ hours into this game over the past couple of weeks, I can definitely recommend this game to anyone who is a naruto fan. However, I really wish the developers put some special effort into the PC port of the game and made it into a masterpiece, as the communication in this game sucks and is none existent! If they just added small improvement of life additions to the PC port, the game would be so much better. Adding an open text chat for the hub/party/games would not only improve teamwork but bring new life to the hub, a new voice chat system (auto enabled by default and the ability to mute players by the in-game menu, basically like all other multiplayer games) and the ability to see other players steam profiles (so you can add them). Just adding these communications options, would make the game 100% better, improve teamwork, keep players on longer and form new friendships. At the moment if you're a solo player and or don't have 4 friends who play the game, you will get completely destroyed by a clan who has communication. This is really the only negative thing about the game, I take games pretty competitively and to have no communication in a team based game, is beyond stupid. Maybe if enough people ask, they can add it! This game rivals Storm 4.
