it's cute, the character writing is fantastic and often witty, and the world is delightful to explore- i found myself doing every sidequest as soon as possible just to see more of the fun NPC interactions. the story is quite alright- but i found myself at the end of the game wishing for more, thinking that some compelling mysteries strongly established over the course of the game go woefully unanswered and that the final chapter wraps up just a little too quickly and conveniently, with not nearly as much of the feeling of affecting the world that was strongly felt in the chapters and sidequests leading up to it. 9/10 and i want a sequel.

gives me a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ headache, recommend for fighting game fans, don't recommend for general audiences

while the art style and unique world are nice the game has poor tactile feel and that's not to mention how terrible the execution of the card mechanic is. rarely does a death in this game feel anything close to fair and if you're a latecomer good luck dealing with everyone who's already unlocked the good cards
