All that and more often pushes people away from even trying to mod something. That doesn't leave too many people to even try - and from those few, some may not have the best manners, yeah.
Well, that's sad. But here's to hoping something may change in that field some day.
I've seen mods and other projects being mismaintained quite a few times, too. Well, what can I say. Making mods is not the most fruitful of all jobs. Apart from the obvious lack of financial motivation from that job, there are often other issues. Quite frequently modders get very limited support and appreciation from the developers of the game, if at all. Modding tools are commonly broken beyond repair, with no hope for the better (TWOM is one of those cases btw - you have no idea what kind of crazy workarounds I had to come up with for this mod to work). Not to mention that sometimes modders face legal trials as an ultimate reward for their hard work (looking at ya T2).
I wish more modders were like you. You have no idea how many projects were ruined due to big egos, inability to listen and pride.
And yes, Indeed I was here from the start ahah. As soon as I saw your mod I knew I had to test it. Needless to say, I was not disappointed! And how could I be! When there is communication, understanding, and good manners, I am happy to help you with testing and other trouble.
And needless to say, you created a mod that I consider essential for this game. I will never play vanilla this war of mine again.
