The previous games based on the LOTR series, has been either mediocre or just ♥♥♥♥ and a complete waste of time. But forget about that, and just give this game a chance! If you like the assassins creed games, you will also love this. No question about it. Gameplay is surprisingly awesome, and they've included some nice little things which in turn makes this game stand out from it's competitors. The combat system is also very rewarding and is on par, if not even better than the Assassins creed series. I could go into detail, but buy the game and see for yourself.

Highly recommend this for any RPG fans whom like Diablo/Titan Quest etc etc.

Verry buggy launch. From buggy AI, to very persistent login/lag issues in multiplayer, which still hasn't been fixed. Also, there is no DX11 option in this game, which is very disappointing. Graphics is only slightly better than Crysis 1. My 2 year old rig, can run this in maximum (extreme) with around 50 average FPS. (ATI 4890, AMD Phenom X4 810, 4 GB RAM DDR3 - 1600 MHZ)

Apart from that, gameplay is great. And the storyline in single player is epic, and is the only thing that keeps me playing the game right now. I just want to see what happens next, with the alien invasion. This could easily have been a good SciFi movie.

5/10 from me.
