This is one of my favorite games of all time. I knew going into it that it was a tactical card game, and it definitely delivered on that front. I did not know how deep the RPG aspects were, and those completely blew me away. Just interacting with all these heroes as a peer was phenomenal. Layer on the socialization and the exploration of the Abbey's grounds, and you can get lost in this game for hours on end.

It's not without its faults, of course. The game suffers from awkward pacing, and I truly wish the combat was a bit more engaging (I would kill for a Rogue-like aspect to this game), but no other game has really attempted something like this, and this does it well.

Highly recommend trying it out.

As a fan of the original card game, I must say I really enjoy this version as well. Yes, it does contain microtransactions, but the game just hands you enough opportunities for earning ingame currency (including rewards for finishing scenarios for the first time, and daily/weekly challenges) that it really doesn't phase me that much.

If you're interested in a card-based RPG that you can sink hours and hours into and aren't bothered by the mere presence of microtransactions, give it a shot.
