I consider this a hidden gem. For one, developer clearly cares about the game, there's tons of thought put into every aspect of the experience, the dialogue is cheeky, fun, and actually humorous, and even though I just started, there's some pretty interesting lore that makes me want to find out more about what's going on.

It is genuinely challenging though and it will stress you out. This is a roguelite, it's designed for you to learn from your failures, and you will have many. Even though the complexity isn't literal rocket science, you will find yourself scratching your head as you parse through your manual while trying to fix time sensitive problems. But you eventually learn how to fix the problem, and then subsequently learn how to easily diagnose and fix the problem quicker with time. There are tons of different things that need repair, all with their own little variances in what exactly is causing whatever system to fail in the first place. If you like problem solving this is the one.

Early Access Review
If you played Into the Radius, you'd know what you're getting here.
If you played Stalker, you'd know what you're getting here.
I mean that in the best way, It's VR stalker. The most important thing is I felt compelled to write a review for this because the dev has been updating this game very consistently, has been good with communication, it's already a pretty solid product in my opinion, which are huge green flags for otherwise risky investments in Early Access games.

For starters I have to say that this game is DENSE. The foliage and landscape is something I rarely ever see in VR, which leads to my second point here which is that it's surprisingly smooth. I have a pretty decent rig, but VR games can always have performance problems, so that is very refreshing.

The Loot mechanic is fun, you're basically fighting for scraps, but scavenging for stuff can be rewarding if you do it right, and also rewards checking out every corner of a building. Also you sell everything by throwing it into a bin and smashing a button, which scratches the unga bunga in my brain.

Gunplay is good and enemy variety is already pretty solid. you have both Human and Non human enemies, and even those human enemies have their own factions. You can regularly walk into a skirmish between two enemy types, which adds to the immersion. They are pretty dumb sometimes, but also I have been caught unaware but some of these guys and actually got jumpscared.

There are already a ton of locations, and the dev regularly adds more. It is at its heart an extraction shooter, but it works very well for this type of game. It really showcases the vibe of a Chernobyl like environment, if Chernobyl spawned hellish monsters and anomalies that defy the laws of physics.

In summary if you like Stalker at all and you have a VR setup, you should buy this. It will fill your hole.

This is kind of slept on. It has TIGHT mechanics, satisfying combat, the art direction is great, soundtrack is great. The premise of you being tiny and inside an anthill and all the wackiness ensuing is not done very often. It's completed and things are still being added, plus it's not early access doesn't have all the baggage that brings with it. it's worth the full price of 18 bucks no doubt about it.

Dont buy this. Even on sale. They have disrespected people who paid for their product in such a way its almost irredeemable. Its the DLC thing, but it's also several missing features, that were in the first game, its promising to deliver consistent update, and then going completely cold right after that, its what appears to be a fundamentally broken pedestrian and traffic system that breaks down over time.

Very addictive if you're into this style of game. The trailers and description would have you believe that you need to understand rocket science, and if you do one wrong thing you die, but it's far less harsh as it presents. It is way more complex than an average simulation game, and the agency of having knobs to turn and buttons to press scratches a primordial itch. It still has a ways to go as it's early access. There's a lot of UI nonsense, and the sheer amount of information it shoves down your throat can be daunting, with durabilities, gas content, the TYPES of gases flowing, types of fuel, the inventory design etc. Also the tutorial will leave you hanging on certain things, you will have to discover them on your own thru trial and error. It is also HEAVILY narrative driven, example if you're in combat, you get prompts, and you will take turns with that stuff, while it tells you stuff like "you attempt to swing heavily at person," and then "Person's armor is barely scratched." But it's a very enjoyable experience so far and the dev seems pretty dedicated to improving and adding thigns.

Early Access Review
EXTREMELY underrated. This went way under the radar.

First off, it's an early access game made by two people - take from that what you will. It probably has missing features, and things that need added, to be honest, i don't know what that is. However, I do know one thing: Its fun.

What determines if a game has staying power to me depends on a simple thing, and that is the question of whether the core game mechanics are good. And well, they are. The very basic principle of this game is resourcing, so you can build things, so you can build more complicated things, and then sell those things, to earn money to buy blueprints, rinse and repeat. That game loop is simply enjoyable and addictive. Its a slow burn but its worth it. I found myself excited simply for the ability to fly my space rig. It already has a lot of QOL features, plenty of base parts to work with, comprehensive automation, and the tutorial does well in helping you understand how to progress.

This appears to still be a niche game which is crazy, it feels like it should be more popular.

Early Access Review
Writing this review as of April 28, four days after it released. I recommend this with a warning: this is very much a project. It is very unstable, has many bugs, and the procedural nature of the game leads to frustrating moments (that are fixable). I almost left a negative review because of these. But it is so much fun when it works. They NAIL the vibe and the detective sleuthing. It is so gratifying closing a case. its so fun to the point that I try as hard as I can to grit my teeth and work past the many issues it currently has. Also in the span of four days, the devs have already addressed and fixed so much. if the flaws I mentioned seemed too much, thats okay, just let it cook for a few months itll still be here. But personally, I'm having a blast, and its worth 20 bucks even right now.

First off, I'll fully admit that I'm addicted to the game, I can't stop playing it. It's like an abusive relationship. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this because well, it's completely broken. It has several issues and glitches that almost ruin the experience. For instance:

1. A lot of times, your opponent will just not tackle the ball carrier.
They'll either go through each other, or worse case, can't tackle them at all, leaving you watching your teammate waltz into the endzone, or tank through everyone for a 99 yard punt return. Also, players dont do touchbacks so you have no choice but to WATCH

2. You have almost no control over playcalling, and the coach is terrified of run plays.
The only control you have is being able to audible on the field, but that's only in formations you're already in so it's limited what you can do. On Defense, all you can do is watch. And I cannot stress this enough, both coaches will almost never run. Your opponent will have 400 pass yards and 2 rush yards. every game. You however, are the reincarnation of Lamar Jackson, you can run for 300 yards if you want

3. Several things are broken.
The practice for one is broken because there are buttons that let you move downfield, but they don't actually do anything. The playbook will revert to the default every play, so getting reps in is somewhat frustrating. And as far as I can see, there's no way to leave short of quitting the game. I dunno if its because I have Rift S controllers or what but come on. Also, if you call a play and a timeout is called directly afterward, you can end up in a position where you can neither call a play or timeout, therefore are forced to accept a delay of game. Also the tackle issue is consistent, and almost makes the game unplayable

One thing is does do very well is capture the energy of being on the field. When the game works, it works really well, and throwing a touchdown pass is a dopamine factory. It's got the licensed teams, and licensed stadiums. Also its main menu being your lockerroom is a really nice touch, and it has a pretty comprehensive trophy room. If you're a even a casual NFL fan, it's still fun. However, because of the reasons listed, I'm gonna have to ask you to leave The Forge-uh I mean I cannot recommend this game.

Also the community is about as active as my sex life, which is to say completely dead
