Those hexes were not my original work and most of them were touched without permission. I stole from other creators. They were not mine .
Regardless of legalities, credits, whatever; it's common courtesy to, you know, not steal someone else's work , and the only reason why I did it to begin with was because I was a stupid kid that thought it was commonplace. I could easily get in trouble with the original creators if they wanted to DMCA me and I wouldn't blame them at all, but it's not about that; it's about respecting someone else's work.
Once again, my Workshop was nothing but theft. I don't care about getting in trouble, it's about doing what's right. I want my Workshop to be my own creations, and if I happen to find any of my hexes reuploaded anywhere, I will file DMCAs if they don't respect my decision.
Oh I'm bad with addon hoarding myself, I'll see something and be like "Oooh, this could be totally helpful later" and then I never do the idea I was thinking at the time.
Though now that I think about it, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to make an archive of all these hexes for people to download themselves. Think the only reason I haven't done that yet is because a lot tend to be very grabby-handsy and reupload things without asking. I actually just got something taken down off SFMLab for being uploaded without my notice, hah.
But yeah, I'll probably look into something like that soon if you don't mind waiting until like tomorrow.
Bonk for life.
You're correct, I did hex the Halloween Bonk collection, and despite clearing my workshop, I still have every single addon I've ever made. As long as you don't reupload it, I can send it to you.
P.S. Nice Bonk collection.
I hope that you won't up and dissapear like most others.
My Workshop has been cleaned. You can read every detail in my bio above in the "Workshop" section.
-Sessy hair hex
-LED Construction PDA & Sentry
For my projects, I mostly need:
-Trailer Themed Team Gray Hex
-Gray Romevision Robots Hex
Also I could need these:
-No Glasses for Sniper Hex
-Green Robots Hex
-Australium Robots Hex
About the fact that I need so much MvM hexes: Of course, I could use the colourable robots (which is a nice addon) for my projects but the fact is that there is no colourable tanks and carriers (which can be a nice hex project). The gray tanks and the gray Carrier are essential for my movies :)
Thank you for the apology.
To answer your first question, it's yes and no. Hexing typically comes from taking mods or skins normally used for TF2, such as something on GameBanana for example. The way those mods work when installed is by overwriting the game's original files, so if they were to be installed in GMod or SFM, the same thing would apply. Hexing it, however, makes it its own unique item so your default game items aren't touched.
In short, I did the hexing work to keep default game files untouched, however the mods themselves didn't specifically belong to me, they were made by other people. Because I never reached out to the creators I committed theft, and that's why I made the decision to clean out my Workshop.
As for your projects, if you can remember which hexes were used, I'm pretty sure I still have the original files somewhere on my older laptop that I can send you.
Option 2: Make the materials myself...

And I wouldn't call that weird at all since even though their Workshops aren't up anymore, I still did their hexes, hah. Thank you for double-checking with me on where to give credit, that's always an ideal thing to do.
Side note 3: the third one - is it weird that I'm crediting you for hexes, and you no longer hex?
I apologize that you've only seen what's happened after the fact, but I hope it's understandable that attempting to inform every single one of my subscribers is impossible and I did the best I could with the tag warnings I left on my addons for the past week.
However, I don't appreciate the accusatory tone that I personally "owned" you and that I specifically went out of my way to cancel your projects, and thus I owe you what I got rid of. Whether you meant that or not, that's the exact vibe your wording gives off. My Workshop wasn't mine . Every single item I published belonged to someone else and over half of it I did it without asking permission because I didn't know any better back then. That's not what I want to do anymore nor is it what I want to continue holding on to.
Side note: Going into someone's comments to tell them you're not satisfied with them, and then asking for things, normally isn't the best approach.
WELL, Colorable mercs and bots can be an alternative. BUT, what about the MvM tanks and carriers ? Still need these... OR you can make an addon called "Colorable MvM tank and Carrier" :)
You know, I think I'm guilty towards you in that I reworked at least one of your GMod Models (twice actually, once as a fixed port so it would work in SFM and second I threw a HWM head at it) and ported it for use in SFM but I can't remember if I asked your permission to do that or not.

Did these when I was first starting out and didn't know better.
However, if you want me to remove them from my workshop I have no problem doing so. It might tick off the 2000+ users that have subbed each of them if they disappear, but I'm always harping on the would-be modelers that I tutor that it is always proper to seek permission before reworking anyone else's work.
Anyway, I apologize if I didn't ask permission and wait to hear if you want them to be gone.
Regards,
PteJack
I actually plan on releasing something soon, and I've a backlog of other projects I'm wanting to work on.
