I wish the steam review system wasn't so binary, and that I could instead put a middle ground rating in for the current state of the game.

**However, right now the release is severely hindered by huge queues, server issues, and a long long wait to be able to enjoy the game. I got lucky yesterday evening and I was able to play the game for a significant amount of time, but the same cannot be said for everyone. The devs are updating their discord server with news on the status of their server solutions but I worry that the downtime is going to harm the community. Watching streamers in queues is not a good selling point for the game.**

When (keyword: When) you get into the game, the combat system is very satisfying and it's very easy to get involved in some quick content and enjoy a grind towards a new weapon or character. Their battle pass system, dubbed "Reward Towers", are some of the most consumer friendly ways of selling a battle pass I've seen yet (You are able to progress any reward tower at any time regardless of if that tower is no longer available for purchase). Yet to see what the core gameplay loop will be like towards the endgame, but if the difficulty continues to increase, there will be a satisfying progression path for all.

Server issues aside, there's a really good game behind it, however right now if you are only vaguely interested, steer clear until the server issues are resolved, the game doesn't seem to be going away any time soon.
