If you've ever wanted to actually play Jumanji with your friends, this is it. I genuinely can't believe nobody made a game like this sooner. We had so much fun with the demo and I'm hooked. I cannot wait for the full release

Features include:

✅ Scratch tickets
✅ Dopamine
✅ Poor financial decisions
✅ A typo the developer openly refused to fix

Finally, a game brave enough to be authentic

I have 6+ hours in this game and I still could not tell you who this was made for. It definitely wasn't made for people who like story or character-driven games

The protagonist is painfully boring. He has almost no personality, no clear motivations, and no real presence. He just moves from quest to quest because the game tells him to, not because he seems to actually want anything. I genuinely started wondering why this was not a create-a-character game, because if the main character is going to feel this empty anyway, I would rather at least make my own...

The controls are also awful. I tried both kbd + mouse and controller, and neither felt good. The game constantly throws new mechanics at you like it is terrified of not doing enough. Every system feels layered on top of another system, to the point where nothing feels polished or intuitive. It is a textbook jack-of-all-trades, master-of-none situation

All of the elements feel like they were pulled from other games without understanding what actually made those mechanics satisfying in the first place. Instead of feeling ambitious, it just feels bloated

Maybe there is a good game buried somewhere under all of this, but 6+ hours in, I still feel disconnected from the story, the characters, and the gameplay itself. That is a pretty bad sign imo

I was able to play the game on below minimum specs. Was it perfect, no of course not, but the visual imperfections didn't bother me or impact my ability to play. I enjoyed the story a ton, I especially love how Aeta loved the history of all the ruins you end up encountering. I connected with her a lot and it really did feel like I was playing a classic knights tale. I do kind of wish there was more choice in the ending but it doesn't take anything away from the story being told

However, the combat is very punishing. If you do not play combat heavy games, if you don't have dodge, parry, or timing down, I do not recommend this game without mods, there are already mods on Nexus fyi. Food is also far too scarce, any you previously had is taken from you for no reason at the beginning of every chapter, and bosses are just damage sponges that are more frustrating than fun. At least when you die your health bar is completely filled but still...there needs to be some serious rebalancing when it comes to combat imo

If it weren't for the poor optimization and combat balance I could easily see this indie game winning some awards. Just a reminder, this isn't an open world RPG, it is a linear story...I completed it in less than 6 hours, ymmv

I introduced a friend to this game and watching her go through the new introduction was painful. She is not a gamer, and the onboarding was confusing and overwhelming for her, I won't be surprised if she doesn't play it ever again

I do not recommend this game anymore, which sucks because I loved the world and story before version 1.5 changed so much

The game is good, the story is interesting, and the mechanics are genuinely fun, but something is missing. The pacing feels a little off, and it’s hard to pinpoint exactly why. All the pieces for an amazing game are there, it just feels a bit flat

I still recommend it and think it’s worth the price

This game is so fun! I don’t normally play rhythm games, but the art style totally pulled me in — and I’m so glad it did. My favorite track so far is “Rhythm Divine” (the one from the trailer — “why don’t you dance with me”) — such a banger!

I can’t wait for the full release and will definitely be following the development for any new playtests.

It's a gorgeous, smooth, and enjoyable game - but it's not DA. The writing/design is light, shallow, generally a good time in the world but that is not the Dragon Age I've grown to love. Thinking about it, the game feels very commercial, very EA...bummer.

I do recommend it and I will finish it, I don't regret buying it or playing it so far, I have had 0 issues with the game, there's nothing mechanically wrong with the game, it is truly well made. I just had expectations being a fan of the series and I think its clear we are being left behind for a new audience.

If this is your first DA game, you will have an amazing time - just don't go and play the others because you'll be disappointed that this is where the story leads.

EDIT: I finished the game and as others have said, it's meh. Wait for a sale. If you are an OG fan you'll get a conclusion to the story but it likely wont move you much because the storytelling up to it was so sanitized and lackluster. I have no desire to replay the game at this point because it felt like my choices didn't actually matter and I feel like I saw everything.

As you can see...I have put in some hours lmao. I highly recommend this game if you are looking to play with other people online.

I usually play MMOs solo for the PvE content but I had some internet friends that wanted to make a guild and get into the PvP stuff so I tagged along. I am NOT a PvPr, I don't do any competitive gaming and do not like difficult games at all but OMG the PvP in this game is SO fun!! Especially with your whole guild in world events! I really like how certain areas become PvP at certain times so if you really have no interest you can totally avoid it and just play for the PvE stuff, and imo the world is really fun to just exist in and do the lil missions that contribute to your guilds level.

I do think this is a guild focused game tho so if you don't get involved with a group I think you will get bored quickly, even if you don't do PvP stuff you can join and guild and do lil guild missions which are also really fun. I had 1 game crash and NO other issues, I am playing in Western Americas tho and I think it is just a smaller region with less servers and people. But my server doesn't feel empty at all, it feels busy and theres lots of stuff to do/see especially at max lvl, 50.

I do not understand the reviews complaining about P2W, maybe cause I am not a PvPr usually? It doesn't feel like a big deal to me and tbh grinding for gear or resources or stats or whatever with friends is FUN to me, it's why I play these kinds of games. I don't feel pressured to buy anything someone else grinded when I can just...do it myself lol. I've done well holding my own in PvP, rank 200 somethin out of 1000, and I am a huge n00b at it, dont even have good gear - of course I've also been absolutely slaughtered by sweaty min maxers but only a few times. I will say I hate when I accidentally walk into a PvP area and I'm not paying attention and then a guild teams up and obliterates me. That happened a couple times in the beginning but not so much anymore cause I am usually with my guild, max level and just more aware.

Anyway, all that just to say I think you should play the game when its out on Oct 1st, you have nothin to lose (except your time when you get addicted and no life it like me LOL)

Great game. Think a combination of phasmophobia and lethal company with some streaming mixed in. Me and my friends had a blast and I can't wait to play more! Very excited for future updates.

I got it on April 1st during the 24hr free download but it is so worth the 7.99 price tag!
