游戏取材于台湾白色恐怖时期的基隆中学事件，不过此事件在游戏里只字未提，可能是作者不仅仅是想把作品固定在那个特殊时期。而是着重体现每一个压迫时代，追求自由人们的遭遇。黑白的色调阴暗的美术风格，当时时代背景的还原，浓厚的当地文化气息，逼真且符合情节的背景音乐，这些元素都极佳的营造了恐怖气氛。游戏的文案简短精美，富有文学气息。游戏把玩家带入女主的精神世界进行一次轮回，通过剧情和收集物品，让玩家一步步的了解当时的人和事。当初的所有闹剧，最后只剩悲伤。
游戏的最终结局呢是人到中年的魏仲廷，回到了2年仁班曾经自己的座位上，此时女主的灵魂也出现在对面的座位上，此时点明了游戏的主题：返校。
与其说这是一款恐怖解谜游戏，倒不如说看了一场悲伤故事的电影。游戏中遇见怪物也只是简单地规避不能战斗。更多的是让玩家在恐怖游戏的气氛中解谜和体验剧情，在恐怖游戏的氛围中体会当时时代的恐怖。
