Let's you dress your soldiers up like Mad Max Fury Road extras. I think it's a fun addition.

The narrative mission this DLC adds is fantastic. It's a hectic dungeon crawl with a true boss fight at the end (I know! a XCOM boss fight!). It's tons of fun and took me 47 turns to complete.

The narrative is great as well, introducting XCOM's first "bad guy" character (the speaker has zero personality and doesn't count). This new character drives the mission and is both fasinating and funny, Portal-ish while keeping XCOM 2's cyberpunk tone. They make you want to learn more about the character and hope to run into them again (I haven't beaten the full campaign with this DLC yet, so we'll see what happens.)

TLDR: Buy it for the giant robots, stay for the best narrative mission in XCOM so far.
