The intro implies the dog is part of your team. But you cannot play as the dog.

Its surface is as much fun as any game ever made. Its depths surpass understanding. I have analyzed it a scene at a time with more than 30 groups, and together we have seen, I believe, pretty much everything that is there on the screen. The more clearly I can see its physical manifestation, the more I am stirred by its mystery. Best Acelora desu.

Finally, after 3 years since meeting it's kickstarter goal, Koji Igarashi's newest addition to the "Igavania"-style games, (also known as Metroidvania) gets it's own Steam release. I was pleasently surprised to see this classic style return, with a glorius symphonic soundtrack, tight and responsive controls, brutal but forgiving difficulty, and gorgeous spritework. I came like twice to the laboratory game over screen.

Much worse than Morrowind or even Obilivion.
