Early Access Review
This game is great for about 50 or so hours and then you reach the mountains and the enjoyment of this game absolutely nosedives. Hope you are prepared to wait on ledges for your stamina to return at an ABSOLUTE GLACIAL PACE despite having MULTIPLE BUFFS to it. That's right, despite your character having survived for hundreds of hours at this point and run across multiple biomes in all sorts of gear away from tons of dangerous foes, you cannot level up your stamina meaning your stamina regen is the equivalent of an asthma ridden gamer who has never set foot outside in their life AT ALL TIMES. It really sucks when you need to get back up a mountain to get your gear because an ENEMY LITERALLY POPPED IN RIGHT OFF SCREEN AND KILLED YOU OUT OF NOWHERE. Oh yeah thats right the devs for this game havent bothered to optimize the game so despite me having a 1500 dollar computer details still load in right next to me on a level equivalent of that on the level of a nintendo switch game, and enemies literally spawn RIGHT OFF SCREEN. The LOD slider does next to nothing to change any of this and ♥♥♥♥ literally appears right in front of me pretty much all day. It's almost worse than GTA online but at least that game actually has a HIGH LEVEL of detail to actually account for. On top of that trying to travese the ocean with your friend would be a blast if this game wasn;t so ♥♥♥♥ at lagging out on the ocean, causing people to essentially teleport off the boat and end up drowing. Seriously devs, before you guys release anymore content you think you could fix this? A game about vikings should probably have actually decent sailing, but it next to impossible to take a boat out with more than one person because the ship keeps lagging out and either breaking, flying away or teleporting people off of it. On top of that the combat is insanely bland, maybe a step up from runescape, but it would be nice if you had some actual moves you could do with each weapon to make them interesting instead of just two? Dunno a bit more variety would be nice. I would say this game is a 10 out of 10 but due to the things listed above, I've ended up having complaints every single step of the way. I do absolutely love the building though, so I would say this game is a solid 6 out of 10.

EDIT: I just realized, this game has been out for 3 years, and still claims to be early access. I think that its kind of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to label your game in such a way. I think this game is good, and has some potential. but that potential gives way to tedium after 60 hours easily. You will get your money's worth if you buy this game. But you really wont get much more. Make your decision based on your own intuition. If you like building games, this one is pretty fun and has a lot to offer. If you are looking for an adventure sandbox, there are a ton more that have much better mechanics on a basic level.
