I was really conflicted about giving the game a negative review, the game is fine, its like the little brother of "Banished" that watched too many westerns and now cosplays as a Sheriff shooting at everything.

The game is fun, for about a day, then its just becomes a babysitting job. The game had potential if they would have made diplomacy a little bit smarter and gunfights last more than 2 seconds, I know its "realistic" that people would die superquick in a gunfight but all these people have perfect aim, its super weird.

On the resource management side, the tutorial is really barebones and I had to read forum posts to find out simple things like how to trade with Tribes and create Coats instead of Clothing but after you setup your cattle and farming, the game is practically done, there is really low-to-no incentive to go into mining, buidling defenses or raiding at all, its like 30% of the game is just there for decoration.

The game has no campaign or story, its just a sandbox and there are no winning conditions, it just goes on and on and on, this type of game is not bad in itself though but this one.. feels unfinished.

Like for example, tribal trading is very hands-on and doesnt work with automatic trade routes, there is no real use to horses in a fight, there is no window that lets you see the town's seasonal resource consumption vs production so you can calculate what to build and what to dial back.

Achievements are a joke, its just grinding and the 25 years achievement involves spending half a day building up a sustainable town and leaving it on for 2 or 3 real life days while time passes in-game.

The art is good and the music decent enough to give you the wild west ambiance feel, animations are nice as well although the UI is a little hard on my old eyes, numbers and buttons too small even in the lowest resolution I could play at but that's more of a nitpick, I like it when games have an UI scaler.

Anyway, the game is not that bad if you like city builders, get it on sale and try it out for yourself if you want but for the 2 days this game had my attention, it wasnt as good as I expected. Heck, I still dont know why its called Depraved, sure, murders happen often but thats it, I wouldnt call it "Depraved", now if you could sell infected clothing to the tribes to get rid of them... yeah, there you go.

Depraved gets 3 thieves getting bullets to the face out of 7 bandits that tried to take over my town by stupidly coming in one a time where all my 100 citizens had all colts or winchester rifles on them, such folly.
