Some people report technical issues but I can assure you that I haven't encountered any. If your pc is good enough to run it on maximum; then you're in for a treat. The world is very detailled and realistic. When driving around you have the feeling that you're actually living in Los Angeles. The interior locations are detailled as well.

But driving around isn't the main part of the game. That's investigating cases and interrogating witnesses and possible suspects. That interrogating is based on your prior investigations. The more evidence you collect; the more easier it gets to solve a case correctely. When a person answers your question you can react in three different ways; you think he speaks the truth, hides something or is lying. The way to determine that is to carefully examine the evidences and/or carefully watching the body language of the suspect. In the beginning it can be quite difficult to determine the right reaction but once you'll get the hang of it it's not that hard.

And that brings me to another great part of the game; the acting. Team Bondi has used a very advanced style of motion capturing to capture every tiny bit of detail from the actors and that really shows ingame. Aaron Staton plays a really good role and if you're fan of the TV series Mad Men, you'll be pleasantely surprised to see some other actors of the series as well.

The story mode is good and offers some nice plot twists. When you've completed it, you can enter some kind of free roam mode to explore Los Angeles and to collect unique cars, film reels, landmarks,...
Because of the uniqueness of the story there isn't really very much replay value. I mean, sure you can replay every case until you get a five star rating on every case but that's about it. You can naturally start the storyline again from the beginning, but it's just that because of the story being so closely interwoven with the game, a second playthrough takes away much of the excitement.

All by all you'll spend at least 50 hours to complete everything. I've really enjoyed this game and I'd recommend it. Getting the DLC is recommended as well as it adds some great cases
