I never played Ninja Gaiden but this was a pretty fun game and I enjoyed it! The art-style looks great! The music was pretty banging (I personally never felt it got repetitive unlike a few other reviews have mentioned)! The bosses were fun to learn and destroy (that last boss, WOW)! The movement felt fluid and well paced with increasing mobility through learnt skills throughout the game! Difficulty really spikes towards the end with some punishing checkpoint sections!

A few nitpicking things that I would have preferred to be different were mainly in the control scheme.
-Double tapping forward to sprint is one. However, there was an option to hold another button while running so I binded it to LB and it made it much better. Although, you have to be moving first before pushing the sprint button which just felt weird. I would have liked being able to hold sprint so whenever I moved I was always running like most games where you have two movement speeds.
-Parrying projectiles with the directionals is another. This, AFAIK, could not be rebinded. Using the same button to move also to parry was awful and awkward especially when trying to parry in the air while moving. This easily could have been fixed assigning parry to a bumper or trigger or even just using the attack button on the projectiles at the right timing.
-There were maybe just a tad too many sections in the platforming that fell to "Shovel Knight Syndrome" where there was tight platforming mixed with the crazy knockback over pits of insta-death. Therefore, a lot of times when an enemy shoots or flies into you, you most likely will fall and die meanwhile you're at full health. Doing this often in a game to make it more difficult, I don't really agree with. It makes it more annoying and frustrating rather than rewarding and enjoyable especially during the longer checkpoints.

Like I said though that's some small nitpicking; other players may have felt these weren't issues but it made a fun game only slightly little less enjoyable for me!

Overall Cyber Shadow is a well-done and solid game! If you don't want to pay full price, it'd be a fine grab when it goes on sale! But I feel like I got $20 worth out of it so thumbs up!
