Let me start by saying I know the developer personally. I use that not to disqualify the merit of my review, but rather to explain my perspective on the game. Early on when making the game, Paul told me, "I'm making the game that I want to play." I knew right then that this game would be difficult.

You may think of playing games with a buddy as something along the lines of "let's see how many planes we can steal in Grand Theft Auto." If you're playing games with Paul, you are going to eventually look at the clock and realize it's 1 AM, and that you've been grinding through the co-op mode of TowerFall Ascenscion on Hard for the last three hours.

To play this game is to understand Paul's appreciation for games, and that in an of itself is a wonderful accomplishment on his part. It also helps that the game is good.

Great game. Terrible community.
