Drill to the Stars is an innovative roguelite with its own twist at (usually humdrum) TD-games. This game combines the elements of varying, different builds to play around from the roguelite/-like genre and combines it with the tower-defense genre in a very fun way. The games differ not only in drops, classes and events, but also in the procedurally generated maps, In my opinion, this prevents one of the core weaknesses of games like BTD 6 or Infinitode. This impacts the gameplay on the basebuilding since every map has different efficient tower placements, another key aspect of this game making it very fun to play. It seems a bit unbalanced as of now, but this is probably due to the game being new and a lot of balancing come and go with a lot of people playing the game. Thus you have to play the game now.
