Can't stop playing

All right, I figured out it was time to update that piece of crap review I made 66 hours into the game.

PAYDAY 2 is by far my favorite game, the one I've put more hours into, one of the very few multiplayer games I actually enjoy and definitely the one I've spent most in (not that this last one is a good thing).

In PAYDAY 2 you shoot an army of cops while trying to rob stuff if you go loud or avoid guards and cameras while trying to rob stuff if you go stealth. Not the best description but it is a lot of fun. Most heists are fun, there's a lot of action, shooting, getting downed, helping mates and the music is really loud an cool. You may not understand what's happening the firsts times you play but you'll get the hang of it after a few heists. Stealth is usually a fun experience although it can be frustrating most of the time and sometimes not even worth the effort (Breaking Feds).

Thing is, I think PAYDAY good times are gone. It is hard not to run into cheaters or find people with ridiculous cheats mods that take away all the difficulty from the game. That's from the players side. From the game side, well, I think most of the heists don't really fell like what the game promises (I mean, I think not even half of them are banks). The game runs like crap, crashes a lot and every time they add something new is either broken or they break something else and not always bother to fix it, especially visual bugs.

And then there's DLC... God I don't even want to know how much I spent on this game. Not only buying DLC but buying other games just to get crappy masks or buying exclusive masks form humble bundle. I even bought that h3h3 pack idgaf about just because it was supposed to be last payed update and then they revived this game with content that feels a bit more like microtransactions (I mean you're buying colors and clothes) and heists that aren't really worth they price. At the end of the day, while I own every DLC pre-revival I still play with a default character and the M308 for most of the heists. Most of the DLC weapons I've used only to get achievements or to try them. I believe the game is playable without DLC. There are some good heists but you can join them without owning them.

Anyway, I barely play PAYDAY anymore. I can't say I don't recommend this game simply because I love it. But I recommend you have a crew to play with to avoid randoms, or at least one friend, it is still fun with two players. Of course you can go solo as I did for a very long time because I was tired of randoms, but that's not really that much fun. I now have no crew nor friend to play with so it's pretty much abandoned though I miss it. Also, if you like getting achievements you're gonna need a crew because there's a lot of them that require 4 players.

Anyway, cool little broken game. Fun with friends, a pain in the ass with randoms.
