I could try doing the first part. The second part shouldn't happen if your resolution is higher than 1024x768. I'll take a look on other resolutions to be sure.

suggestion for your hud

is it possible to make the health bar for teammates red when hurt so it makes it easier for medics to know if their teammates are hurt? It would help with being medic greatly, also the scoreboard for the hud doesn't show the score correctly when 100 and over.
