A roguelite(like?) with RPG, and a real and genuine story to boot! Not only that but it does all the elements well. The little vignettes between each run in particular are a ingenious way of investing you in the story of the Berkson family outside of the main plot.
There's lots of unlocks, and they strike a good balance power wise, none of them seeming useless nor overpowered, but combine to make all the family individually and as a group a force to be reckoned with (at least so far for me).
Also not insignificantly, runs can be completed fairly quickly (even successful ones!) so a heavy time investment is not necessary for each gaming session. I highly recommend this for those who enjoy the genre.
