The most unassuming horror game.

This is the perfect game that can be completed in under an hour. It's fun and engaging for being a free game. Beautiful artwork with classic music and some fun humor to go along with an otherwise charming hidden objects game.

I'll give this game a positive review when a weapon people enjoy isn't immediately nerfed.

Not even worth the discount price.

It hurts me to give this game a negative review because I loved the first game, and this remake just felt worse, clunkier, slower, and more rng heavy. Now of course RNG is involved, but usually in RoR1 or 2 I could win a run even with a pretty poor start. In RoR:R, runs seem to rely so much on which early items you get and less on your individual skill. I don't think I had fun on any run I attempted.

$25 for ~25 hours of playtime to 100% the game and all achievements. That's a pretty good deal for how intently I played the game. I'll probably do another play through since it was enjoyable and has some elements of replayablility. I just wish there were more regular species instead of there being more variants in the game than actual different species. It's a good game, but there needs to be more content.

A few complaints: More towns needed, at the start the Fishmonger talks about potentially selling fish to different towns at different price points, but there is literally no other town to sell to besides the travelling merchant at every other important location. Also there needs to be more stuff to do in an "end game" scenario because after a while you have a stockpile of items and money that is worthless.

Italians are scary.
