Counter-Strike 2 is genuinely nice. The gunplay feels great, movement is crisp, and when a match is clean, it’s still the best competitive FPS experience out there.

But the biggest problem is impossible to ignore: the anti-cheat situation. It feels like there’s basically no real protection at higher ranks, and it ruins the entire competitive vibe. Valve should honestly look at what Valorant did with anti-cheat and copy the idea (or at least match that level of seriousness). If competitive integrity isn’t protected, nothing else matters.

Also, more maps please - and bring back the classics. CS2 needs a bigger, better active pool with fan favorites like Cobblestone, Cache, Prodigy, and other iconic maps from CS:GO and CS 1.6. Variety keeps the game fresh, and these maps are part of what made Counter-Strike legendary.

Finally, the ranking / ELO system needs a rework. Losing -500 and then gaining +100 makes zero sense and feels punishing even when you’re playing well. The current system is frustrating, inconsistent, and doesn’t reward improvement properly.

CS2 has an amazing foundation, but right now it feels like the game is held back by the things that matter most for a competitive shooter: anti-cheat, ranking, and content.
