This Game is Killing it

Setting:
You'll probably know the story of Lucius if you consider to buy this demake version. But anyways you get born on a stormy day on the 6th of June 1966 as the son of Satan and you have to kill literally everyone who lives or works in your family home.

Content:
The game contains 18 chapters in which you have to solve some not that hard riddles and finally kill the people by manipulating objects, controlling minds, or just kill them with fire.
There are also some "sidequests" which allow you to unlock items that will give you hints every chapter.
It took me about 3-4 hours to complete the game.

Gameplay:
Movement is achieved through the arrow keys instead of using the standard wasd-controlls which is no problem at all because a mouse is not needed for playing the game.
One can access the special abilities with the keys from 1 to 5, Q for the diary, W for mounting the tricycle, E for the inventory, TAB for switching through targets and F for the flashlight. These controlls seem pretty inconvenient which they are in the beginning but you will figure this out quite fast.
If you wish you can also use a gamepad (I noticed that after my first playthrough...) which makes it way more convenient to play.

Athmosphere:
The C64 artstyle and the 8-bit soundtrack (actually I am not sure if it's 8-bit) harmonize well together and makes the game very enjoyable.

Performance:
The game's system requirements are that low that everyone expect it to run well which it did for me. I did not experience any crashes or bugs.

Recommendation:
I desperately recommend the game for those who:
  • like the C64 artstyle
  • like old-school soundtracks
  • like psycho stories
  • played the original game

A Hella Fun Game

Setting:
You're playing the metalhead and beer lover named Marty whose beer gets stolen by Satan. Due to a conflict between Marty and Satan, Marty now has Satan's arm which he sews on it's own and gains the powers of Satan. Then he starts to fight his way through hell to get to his beloved beer.

Content:
The game contains 100 levels, a speedrun mode and an endless mode. Every level includes a collectable you need to achieve a completition of 100% of the game, plus some levels have well hidden secrets.
All in all I assume the game has well over 20 hours of content.

Gameplay:
The first person perspective is chosen and the gameplay is exceedingly fast paced (which you can obviously conclude out of the game's title). Beyond that you will unlock five powers (shooting fireballs, flying, teleportation, time leaps and a platform genertor) ehancing the gameplay significantly and making it pretty challenging.
In addition it's very smooth and I've not experienced any input lag.

Atmosphere:
Well it's a pretty dark setting due to taking place in hell. The metal soundtrack is just great and harmonizes perfectly with the setting and artstyle. Also the game's humour is hilarious.

Recommendation:
I highly recommend the game for those who like:
  • to try over and over again
  • to play under pressure of time
  • metal
  • secrets
  • fast paced and challenging gameplay
  • jump n' runs/platformers

There is not that much to say about this DLC...
By purchasing it you will get all current and future gods that will be released. Plus you will get your purchases on gods (except for skins) payed back in the form of favor which could be a negative aspect for some people because there are items you can only pay with gems.
In my opinion 23,99€ respectively 16,07€ (got it in the winter sale) are totally worth it because you get a ton of content for little money compared to other well known MOBAs.

To sum it up:
Positive
Negative
All current and future gods included
Refunds in the form of favor
Purchases on gods will be refund
Fair price

If you are a bit into Smite and you want to have a diversity of gods you should purchase this DLC.
I will rate 9.5/10.

Edit: You actually get your refund in gems if you spend some.

Fazit:
