Really appreciated this game, it's chill and easy with a good soundtrack. The fact that you can sometimes complete a level by playing with luck makes this game stand out a bit and not really in the puzzle category, the number of levels is also somewhat low (only 15 ones) because initially created for a game-jam but you can replay some levels to choose whether or not to leave certain tasks and unlock different ending achievements. I liked it.

This is an interactive poem/narration about life and death whose voiceover was done by a choir in the form of a 30-minute walking simulator with music by Tchaikovsky. It's a genre I usually enjoy, but the game here is too repetitive, it's always about going to the same next bright spot between each piece of poem. The environment seems to be procedurally generated because it's too uniform (just a forest). The end of the game is interesting however, but nothing more.

If the project was offered for free I would give it a positive recommendation, but in the context of a commercial project, it seems to me too light in terms of content.

Big surprise that this Agent Intercept. Here's a list of +/-:

+ positives:
  • A uniquely skill-based gameplay, which is simple (analog or digital directional control + boost button + shoot button). Handling is very precise. All keys/buttons are remapable

  • Local scores to beat to unlock intel (cards) about the story, and also giving access to online ladderboards. There's a plethora of different circuits with the 3 additional score attack game modes, which offers more than enough replayability and challenge

  • A story to follow throughout the levels, it's overall very successful, somewhat cliché but there is just the amount necessary to be in the mood

  • A professional production: Music, voice-over, Art, UI, there's a lot of consistency and quality in the art direction and game design

NB: Advanced settings to adjust graphics on PC. I read that some say this game is a mobile port, knowing that today all game engines are cross-platform; in this version the UI and graphics are optimized for 4K with full graphic options, gamepad rumble, key bindings, etc. all that is needed to play on PC

- negatives:
  • In campaign mode, there are sometimes too many cutscenes that interrupt the player's action (but they are skipable)

  • Only 3 worlds: coast, arctic and desert. I would have liked a fourth decor for more variety (jungle?)

To conclude, this is an excellent game that will appeal to arcade fans or newcomers, congratulations to the studio for the work done, hoping to see more games like this in the future on the indie game scene

Like Nanning's other games, LawnMower City has just the right level of difficulty to keep it fun, it has also good music tracks, leaderboard and all the needed options. Oh yes and it's free to play on the web: https://nannings.itch.io/lawnmower-city (Steam version has additional levels as well as a bonus vehicle). If you're looking for quick fun arcade play you can't go wrong with this one and other titles from this dev.

Originally made during a gamejam, this free short arcade game has a simple and efficient gameplay to keep it fun. There are 15 levels all different with their own Art and music, and achievements that are interesting to do. I would have just liked to have gamepad control instead of only keyboard, but you can always do a manual remapping to be able to play with gamepad which is much better.

I know it's an early access, but at least I would like to be able to play a bit :/

It's a meh. At the same time it's very fun to play and graphically rather successful, and on the other hand it's full of bugs (it crashes also very often on my system, but the good point is that it has lots of saving checkpoints), does not use analog control (it plays with WASD/space), has no option even a full screen mode, no leaderboard nor achievements and ends in 30mn. For the asking price, one would expect more polish and overall quality and gameplay elements like levels or unlockables. NB: despite all of this it can be a good challenge for speedrunners

I really liked this puzzle game, we would have liked more levels and game mechanics, but that is enough in the end. It also lacks the possibility of undo during the game, as well as a full screen mode. Apart from that, the realization is very clean and the music pleasant. It's a good game to play in about 45 minutes.

Un visual novel agréable à la réalisation soignée qui nous plonge dans les pensées respectives de chaque personnage à tour de rôle. Immersif et bien écrit malgré des choix à prendre qui n'influent pas vraiment sur le scénario.

Early Access Review
Road to Guangdong is a sort of initiatory journey, immersive and captivating like a tasty noodle dish, which only the most patient and attentive players will be able to appreciate at its true value. The feeling of a road trip is very present, and the places to visit are full of poetry. This game will appeal to lovers of visual stories who want to explore new horizons and are not bothered to ride smoothly.
