It's arcade soccer. It's fun, games are tight, and gameplay is tight. It's easy enough to pick up that you can start having fun with it right after the tutorial while having a high enough skill ceiling that you'll keep wanting to come back for more. It's just a good time, and if you can find a group to play with even more so.

Game still good. Game still fun. There's definitely some nitpicking in what takes priority in some niche cases (Goalie reaching for the ball vs Striker shooting, for example) especially because desync can make it feel not great, but I'm still enjoying it a ton and don't feel anywhere close to mastering the game. I'm constantly chasing the high of a perfectly executed play.

Delightful turn-based strategy game where everyone takes their turn at once. The pixel art is lovely, the story keeps you engaged, and I love the way it's presented. Each Act builds on the last not just in the fantastic Western Revenge story, but also in the builds and strategies you can use; You can feel the decisions you make in the story impact the strategic choices you get during gameplay. It's great fun.
I'm about halfway through Act IV, and I can't wait for it all to come together so I can play it again and make different choices.
