Early Access Review
Such a charming and captivating game. Easy to get into, but enjoyable to master. Unlike other games, the information presented to you is concise and easy to parse, but the creative aspect of designing your own maze through blocks you acquire is so great that I spent over 24 hours of gametime on it, completely obsessed with rerunning the same adventure over and over again.

There are some balancing issues around adventures (shops being OP, altars and barracks not so much), and the game has some evolving to do for long time players to return to, so I'm writing this review with the intent of leaving the game behind until the next update. The content in the game right now is amazing, but it's not enough to keep me playing for more, as I've reached the ceiling of challenge in this game already (heroic mode is not actually that hard..), and there aren't any repeatable modes that keep your progression in the roguelite going.

So happy to come back to this game when more updates have released, it's definitely not just another fish in the sea, it's the real deal.

Quite disappointing that something which should generally be considered a co-op game requires workarounds to actually make it happen. I'm sure on console this would be simple by just adding extra controllers, but then don't actually release it for PC advertising it as a co-op game when you require an extra controller to play it together.
Overall just really odd, and a classic example of a gone-wrong console to PC port, forcing Steam to fix it for you with remote play. A PC game that forces you on controller should not be on a PC platform.

Besides, its clear that the entire game was designed for console with no time given to optimizing it for PC. The controls are horribly thought out and clearly not play-tested. The tutorial is another example of genuinely lazy game design, practically holding your hand through it and allowing absolutely no room for creativity or playing around. "Heres all the controls and keybinds" is not a good tutorial, especially not when those keybinds are horribly made for PC players specifically.

I'm sure this game plays differently on console, and it's probably pretty good, so if you do have access to a controller, have fun. Don't play this expecting anything majorly thought out however.

Very bad tutorial, a couple messages and I already had no idea what to do, then the bot practice game came and I got completely ran over by damages from the bots, which even further questioned the existance of a "tutorial". The second bot game I lost after 10 seconds because some person already escaped and the game was over..
