Early Access Review
Game would be great if AI wasn't given so many handicaps and if you didn't need mods to make the game somewhat fun.
It's clearly evident that taleworlds devs don't even playtest their own game, Lageta sieges are still broken beyond belief, ai incessantly declares wars and magics troop numbers out of nowhere, ai will randomly give up on a siege if you destroy the battering ram within the first 30 or so seconds and a lot of the core systems are clearly thought out to painfully stretch out the game instead of providing anything meaningful. The loyalty system is a good example of this as owning a fief that isn't your culture gives you a daily -3 to loyalty so unless you want them to rebel you will have to spend a large majority of your time just AFKing in various towns. Assigning vassals to these towns isn't even any better as they don't even try and it'll just end up as a cycle of the town rebelling, then some kingdom declaring war, taking back the town then having to defend it from an endless siege. Fix your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game, there are very few people who enjoy staring at the map and then running back and forth recruiting units so you can stare at the map some more while you wait in a town.

A lot of these issues are actually being worked on, was not aware of the vast amount of changes on beta branch.

If you're new to this game, get the Diplomacy mod. It alleviates a lot of these issues but the core gameplay is still ♥♥♥♥.
