Pretty blatant Half Life 2 ripoff 3 years late. Shoting feels fine, but level design is generally sub par, the game just feels like a HD remake of an 1997 shooter. Compared to its peer Crysis(or 2005 FEAR even!) this game feels so old and 2 generations behind its not even funny.

ROFL, you're so retarded. I guess Half-Life 2 is Doom 3 rip off. Crysis is a completely different game, so it's almost like comparing jenga and black jack. Also, fear is a garbage and is ripoff from max payne. :>

Oh, btw, Battle Los Angeles is much shorter(around 1 hour - and im not joking others finished it in 30 minutes), and its a barebones Call of Duty clone, some no effort asset flip FPS titles are better than this movie tie-in game.

Just because they failed to be on par with HL2 they did try. :P They were pretty blatant about it too. In the last mission youll get back to the slightly modified starting area where the once opressed public fight back and take revenge. And then instead of getting in the Citadel the game just ends abruptly after a brief sniper section.

Not a Half Life 2 Clone, as Half Life 2 had actually good mechanics. I would call this a CoD. You know, with the regenerating health and all that.

Also, have you seen the map design? It fucking looks like Half Life 1!

And the time-controlling mechanics don't even make sense. Plus, the story is pretty shitty and weird too.

Yeah but not a good Half Life 2 clone, but a mediocre one. Actually it felt similar to You Are Empty for some reason. Also i had a smile now looking at Saber Interactives game list. Their 2012 Inversion was also an overly restrictive corridor shooter relying on a single gimmick, and im pretty sure 2011 Battle Los Angeles was the same without a gimmick to carry it. On the other hand i did enjoy God Mode in coop, it was a bit more open and much more fun.
