Overpriced and under polished. Despite this harsh tagline, I would consider Royalty a weak non-recommendation. Rimworld is one of the best games I have ever played, and Royalty adds some cool stuff, but the content is very sparse for the cost. Psycasts seem cool on paper, but the way psycasts are integrated into the game’s systems makes it feel like an afterthought for most playthroughs. The honor system is better integrated into the game, especially with the improvement to quests.

My biggest complaint is the accessibility of information; too many parts of this expansion are buried in dense menus. The biggest offenders so far in my playtime have been colonists’ meditation preferences and the title system. More care and attention should have been paid to displaying this information in a more user-friendly fashion. Rimworld has always been a game that relied on wikis and forums, and Royalty suffers because of it.

Ultimately, if you have played a lot of Rimworld and want to support the developers or want to own the complete game, go ahead and buy it. But a new player could get so much more content out of dozens of individual mods, the value simply is not there.

I've had DisplayFusion installed for nearly a year, it does some things nice but feels so bloated. I feel like DisplayFusion is constantly stepping on Windows 10's toes and cancels out any of the conveinences that it brings. I understand that it has its uses, but the little inconveniences pile up and ultimately make this software more of a headache than anything else.
