It has now been a year since the game was released and Volvo has yet to tackle any of the core problems that have been plaguing the game since then. There have been no major updates, and the updates that have been are practically bug fixes, workshop content and a single case, not to even speak of a possible operation. This game is in a sense what Overwatch 2 is to Overwatch 1, a forced “upgrade” which deleted the original from existence and with the majority of the features from the original missing. Just some of the missing content includes:
• Missing maps from the competitive pool (e.g. Cache or Cobblestone)
• The majority of the gamemodes have just been removed along with the maps for those gamemodes (~60% of the map pool is missing)
• There are no map specific playermodels anymore, a core part of the games identity and art style
• Arms race is identical to it’s Global Offensive version with none of it’s flaws have having been addressed or tackled. The gamemode appeared in the beta, wasn’t available on release and then was added months later completely unchanged with a grand total of 2 maps!
• Wingman also greatly suffering from a minuscule map pool
• No achievements
• No overwatch system in place

The cheating situation is completely out of hand, it’s almost guaranteed that most of the competitive or wingman matches you join will have at least one cheater. Whatever Valve is cooking it’s taking way too long, VAC net and VAC live were mentioned years ago and we still haven’t heard a peep about them.
Finally Valve continues it’s usual communication style of saying a few sentences every leap year and going radio silent which has over the decades gotten very old. The game is in an unplayable state right now and now a YEAR later, continuing to wait and hope that the game progresses past the beta state, this is no longer acceptable!
