TLDR: You may certainly give it a try, only a little bit later.

  • 64bit support; no SKSE yet though (10/30/2016)
  • It certainly looks way better than vanilla skyrim (but not on the level of modded-skyrim better, not even close)
  • Native borderless window support (however it constantly breaks into "not responding" state on every loading screen, as if something locks the render; oh well, nothing serious, I guess)
  • No SkyUI support for now (and vanilla UI just sucks chicken ass)
  • You still need to download mods to fix bugs (nice remaster guys, no really, it's great)
  • You need to have 'bethesda account' in order to download mods (and any official mod now will disable achievements, which is totally understandable; however using native cheats via console doesn't disable achievements... like why?)
  • You can not create 'bethesda account' from the game itself, which is very nice (well, we have borderless window support now, haven't we?)
  • Still no FOV slider (luckily we still can use console to solve this)
  • And finally, now you can crash to desktop without any mod (hurray!)
