Easily one of my favorite digital card games to date! Was cautiously looking forward to the launch and have been pleasantly surprised all around. Visually it's a massive upgrade on the previous game and I find the new layout a lot more intuitive to navigate. Shadowverse Park is something that's been missing from digital card games and it really brings a lot to the experience. Surprised that it isn't a staple in the genre and really curious to see what they add to it and how players/communities use it!

I think the only change I'd like to see is to card liquification. This allows you to break down cards in your collection for currency to directly purchase or unlock other cards. Right now it's limited only to cards that you have more than 3 copies of. This hasn't been an issue for me so far, but I'd like more control over my collection and I think the community in general would appreciate being able to liquify any card. It would also alleviate some of the free-to-play complaints.

That said the game is currently very generous and I was able to build a good deck free-to-play. Since then I've bought some packs and cosmetics. The free-to-play model will always have struggles, but I can't name another digital card game that does it better or is more player friendly. The only exception would be the original Shadowverse, but the free packs and currency are very similar when you map them out. If we were able to liquify any card then the experience would be quite literally identical.

So in summary it's not a perfect experience, but it's a very strong launch, incredibly fun to play, and has tons of potential! Hopefully there will be positive changes in the future as the community makes requests. If you're invested in the original Shadowverse then I'd suggest trying this out f2p to see if it suits you. The changes sound bad but they aren't as bad as some folks make them seem and, again, there's room for changes and improvements.

If you're new to digital card games or coming from a different one, then honestly you won't find a better one. This beats the stuffing out of competitors like Magic Arena, Pokemon TCGP, Marvel Snap, Hearthstone, and Runeterra. And it's a breath of fresh air compared to literally any waifu/husbando/etc gacha game.

Seriously, give it a shot! I highly recommend it~

I discovered Stellaris late but had a really fun time starting my journey! Exploring the world, learning mechanics and strategies through trial and error, connecting with the community. There really is a lot to love here! I even picked up most of the expansions and planned to be a long time player and supporter.

However, the developer has shifted to incorporating generative AI into the game and its newest expansion. This is incredibly disappointing and unethical. I didn't purchase the game and expansions to line the pockets of generative AI companies and corporate executives. I was paying to support game developers, artists, writers, and voice actors. Not only is this detrimental to the development team and the games industry as a whole, but it hurts Stellaris itself. It takes a complex and creative game and slowly removes the human passion that makes it worthwhile.

I'll still play the content that I own for now, but I won't be buying any future DLC, sequels, or even other games from Paradox. Generative AI doesn't have a place in game development and I'm not interested in playing or supporting games that utilize it.

I was looking forward to this game and it didn't let me down. It's a really fun interpretation of the city building/strategy sim. I love the idea of restoring nature and ecosystems. The game has a simple loop and easy to learn mechanics. But it's still challenging to find new/better ways to do things and it feels a little different each time.

I'm also a big fan of the art style, graphics, and music! If this game catches your eye then give it a shot! If you're on the fence, then check out some reviews or gameplay footage. I'm very satisfied and still enjoying my time with it :3

I discovered this game from a friend. The artwork looked fantastic, the setting and story sounded fun, and the game play seemed like a classic nod to Metroid and Castlevania. Started playing and was instantly hooked! The controls were smooth and intuitive, game mechanics were fun and familiar, and there were some delightful surprises along the way too. Game length is a little short, but what's here is so incredible that I don't mind. I'd rather play a short game that hits all the right notes than sink 100+ hours into something passable. And speaking of notes... the soundtrack rivals the art in terms of beauty. This is easily one of the most enjoyable games I've played in a long time. I highly recommend it and will definitely be revisiting it from time to time.
