Marathon absolutely has its claws in me! I come from Destiny so I knew what to expect gunplay wise but damn, wasn't expecting to be this hooked on the PVP side of things. I played Arc Raiders and whilst I liked it, I didn't find myself itching to play another round. I also found the world and quests in that game to be pretty meh. Whereas with Marathon I am drawn in by it's world. Whilst the quests aren't exactly the most inventive, the factions, upgrades and everything else just has me wanting to keep coming back.

Had a ♥♥♥♥ ton of connection issues originally, but wasn't getting them on other online only games so naturally blamed my router which was a standard one from my ISP. Got a new one and the issues went away. I imagine there's something iffy going on between COD, Activision, Steam and any lag or connection issues which was booting them out. But felt it necessary to come back and revise my review as the game is great, especially now I can play it!

Absolutely loved this game from start to finish. The style and humour of the game is very reminiscent of a Double Fine production, particularly Psychonauts. The gameplay is like a classic point and click mixed with a platformer due to the benefit of being able to control the movements of central character Ray. The story is mental but engaging, especially owing to the stellar voiceover work. Overall a thorougly enjoyable, hilarious romp!
