This is honestly one of the best strategy games of the last decades.
JA 2 is one of the best games in this genre for me too, and I played these a lot back in the day (also Xcom).
It cleverly combines good and nostalgic elements of the old JA-games with new gameplay aspects and nice graphics (on ultra you need a good GPU, especially when there is rain, fog..).
There are also nice story and roleplay elements - something which most games in this genre lack a lot.
For me the tactical depth is way enough - and even on easiest difficulty (1 of 3) it can get hard very fast, when you play without good preparation or a tactical way of acting in different situations.
Sure there are some minor annoying things, like ammo-management for example (JA 2 did it better with showing a different colour for every special ammo in the guns), but all in all there is not much to complain imo.
So if you like varied strategy games with tactical depth, more roleplaying than you might expect and very nice graphics - get this game.
Totally recommended at full price!
