Day 289: Today was a relief all around; I had a vocab test, a chemistry test, and a recitation of a Spanish prayer before finally being able to go home, watch the Santa Clause 1 & 2, and play Bloons TD Battles 2 with a friend.

Day 288: With today’s highlight being going to McDonald’s for lunch and then studying Kant after, I was kept down by a painfully large amount of homework. I also had two quizzes today.

Day 287: We ran around the school (instead of the track) in PE today which was mildly interesting. At home I watched too much YouTube before beginning homework.

Day 286: Once again tired, but this time with two quizzes at school and s’mores at my Scout meeting.

Day 285: Today’s return to school was simple, yet tiring.

Day 284: Today was the last day of my Thanksgiving break. I watched YouTube, played games, and read some of The Discourse on the Method.

Day 283: I slept in till 4 p.m. and then just lazed around until… 5 a.m.

Day 282: Today was a relaxed waste of Numberphile, Ace Attorney, Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag, and watching my friend play through Before Your Eyes.

Day 281: We had a very normal celebration for this 400th Thanksgiving (25 Nov 2021). I read a bit of a book on the Mayflower and spent time with two of my brothers, one who was with his girlfriend.

Day 280: I once again woke up early to meet with the same friend to do some volunteer hours. Completing trial four of Ace Attorney was the only other thing of note that I did.

Day 279: I woke up early to put in some volunteer hours with a friend. Afterwards, I met to complete the Hiking merit badge, my 105th merit badge. I completed the second and third trials of Ace Attorney before going to bed.

Day 278: I woke up at 8:30 in the morning on this Monday of my Thanksgiving break. My dad joined me on a 20.7 mile walk for my hiking merit badge (the longest one required). I attained over 40000 steps and my legs were very sore. I got pretty far into the second Ace Attorney trial, but I went to bed before 2 a.m.

Day 277: I woke up at 12 and ran a couple of errands before playing various games. I completed the first episode of Ace Attorney.

Day 276: I woke up to go to a luncheon where the presenter was arrogant and incredibly long-winded. After a lengthy trip to the store, I went on a walk with my brother who was home. One more trip to the store later, and I was at home achieving Assassin Creed: Brotherhood’s “true ending.” I uninstalled the game and began Forager. It was past 5 a.m. when I went to sleep.

Day 275: On this last Friday before break, I refined my theology paper, turned it in, fluidly presented on El Salvador in Spanish, and went to McDonald’s for lunch. I tried out the caramel frappé and it was pretty good. I even checked out a book from the library before returning home to Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood which I had been looking forward to playing again. About 20 hours into the game, I reached the surprising cliffhanger of an ending and went to bed. Noah the ETH God was kind enough to get me three games.

Day 274: Spanish presentations began today. At home I began my five page theology paper… due tomorrow. I stayed until nearly 3:00 in the morning not only writing on Moralia in Job, but also memorizing my Spanish presentation.

Day 273: With PE now incorporated into my routine, I went home to do a ton of history reading and perfect my Spanish slideshow.

Day 272: I finished up my history essay in the library so that it was ready to be turned in before class. Our class was made to mask up less than a fourth of the way through the school day because a faculty member at our retreat had Covid. No one declared himself a close contact, so at the end of the day we returned to mask optional. My homework was was rather long and I even drafted my Spanish presentation.

Day 271: My dad had to drive me to school after he found a nail in one of the car’s tires (right as I was about to depart). Today’s slow school day included the following: turning in my theology outline, receiving a 90 on a chemistry test, and experiencing Monday PE. On a positive note, I enjoyed the night’s homework which included one single math problem as well as reading Durand for an art paper for history.

Day 270: I woke up to go to a tiny meeting/service event. I ended up taking a nap for about an hour and a half at home. The only work I did was reading before bed.

Day 269: When I woke up, my legs hurt and my cough persisted. I only did a tiny bit of homework along with the time I thoroughly enjoyed playing Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood.

Day 268: Today was the second part of my class retreat and more of an outing. Some of the team building exercises were fun while others were stupid. The ropes courses were fun and even somewhat scary at times. I really enjoyed Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood at home, but went to bed at 1:00 (a.m.) because of a terrible cough I had.

Day 267: I woke up around 8:00 to be at my class retreat at 9:00 a.m. The retreat was good except for the group talks and activities; it ended at 9:00 p.m. I played Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood until I went to bed at 11:30.

Day 266: I did well on today’s history test… but I sort of ran out of time on my Spanish test. Sadly PE returned today with a horrendous game of air raid. At home I finally reopened Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood and enjoyed my time with it before going to bed at 11:15.

Day 265: I had forgotten Tuesday pizza day had been reinstated—I bought one slice to go along with my sandwich before I read Aristotle. I went to my scout meeting to arrange for someone to cover for me at a flag ceremony I learned that I could not attend. I studied and did homework before going to sleep.

Day 264: The highlight of my day was taking a friend to an unplanned lunch at Jimmy John’s after a vocabulary test—he was only able to get one loaf of bread to dole out today… Since I didn’t feel 100%, at home I groggily did my homework and wrote some responses for history before going to sleep.

Day 263: I woke up to say goodbye to my brother, play Crab Game, and then take off to see some dance performances. Once home, I indulged in some discord before doing some reading for school.

Day 262: I slept in till 3:30 today. My brother arrived at the house a little later and I convinced him to get Pikmin Bloom before a drive and then a walk. I played some Crab Game before doing a little genealogy.

Day 261: Today was mostly boring (time wasted on YouTube and Instagram), although I did go on a walk as well as play a lot of browser Snake for speedrun.com .

Day 260: Today’s school day contained a Spanish quiz, turning in my class ring order form, and a chemistry test. After taking a nap until 7, I ate and went to a free Shakespeare comedy which a school was putting on. I drove home after 10 and played Crab Game before going to bed at 5 a.m. A peculiar Thursday indeed.

Day 259: Due to yesterday’s decisions, I still had homework I was doing at school… also due to yesterday, at home I fell asleep all the wall till dinner at 7. After dinner I had to do so much homework that I was once again up fairly late.

Day 258: Today for philosophy we interrogated people at lunch in form of Socratic dialogue (which was fairly fun). Once home, I chose Boy Scouts and Crab Game instead of immediately doing homework—for this, I paid in loss of sleep.
